Iriyaavahiyam Sooťra ( Aalochanaa Sooťra ) – Atonement ઈરિયાવહિયં સુત્ર (આલોચના સૂત્ર)
Ichchhaami – I desire ઈચ્છામિ - ઈચ્છું છું
Padikkmiyun – to atone from (past sins) પડિક્કમિઉં - (પાપ કર્મથી) નિવર્તવાને
Iriyaavahiyaae – while walking on the road ઈરિયાવહિયાએ - રસ્તામાં ચાલતી વખતે
Viraahańaae – I may have pained the living beings વિરાહણાએ - વિરધ્યા હોય (દુઃખ દીધું હોય)
Gamańaa Gamańe – while coming and going ગમણાગમણે - જતાં આવતાં
Paańkkamańe – crushed the living beings પાણક્કમણે - પ્રાણીને કચર્યાં હોય
Biyakkamańe – crushed the seeds (animate) બીયક્કમણે - બીજ કચર્યાં હોય
Hariyakkamańe – crushed the plants (live) હરિયક્કમણે - વનસ્પતિ કચરી હોય
Osaa – the dew ઓસા -ઝાકળ, ઠાર
Uťťing – the ant hills ઉત્તિંગ - કીડિયારાં
Pańag – the moss (of five colours) પણગ - પચંવર્ણી લીલાફૂલ સેવાળ
Ďaga – the live water (unboiled water) દગ - સચિત્ત પાણી
Matti – the live earth (organism infested) મટ્ટી - સચિત્ત માટી
Makkadaa – the webs of the spiders મક્કડા - કરોળિયાનાં પડ
Sanťaańaa – spiders webs સંતાણા - કરોળિયાનાં જાળા
Sankamańe – I may have crushed સંકમણે - સંક્રમણ કરવાથી, ચાંપવાથી

Jivaa – living beings જીવા -જીવો
Viraahiyaa – tortured વિરાહિયા - વિરાધ્યા હોય, દુઃખ પામ્યા હોય
Eginďiyaa – the souls having one sense, i.e. the sense of touch (e.g.earth, water, fire, etc) એગિંદિંયા - એક ઈંદ્રિયવાળા જીવ જેને માત્ર સ્પર્શેન્દ્રિય (કાયા) છે (જેવાં કે પ્રુથ્વી, પાણી, અગ્નિ, વાયુ અને વનસ્પતિ)
Beinďiyaa – the souls with two senses, viz. touch and taste (e.g. worms, conch, shell etc) બેઈંદિયા - બે ઈંદ્રિયવાળા જીવ જેને સ્પર્શેન્દ્રિય અને રસેન્દ્રિય (કાયા, જીભ) છે જેવા કે કીડા, પોરા, કરોળિયા, છીપ, શંખ વગેરે
Ťeinďiyaa – the souls with three senses, viz. touch, taste and smell (e.g. Ants, lice etc) તેઈંદિયા - ત્રણ ઈંદ્રિયવાળા જીવ જેને સ્પર્શેન્દ્રિય, રસેન્દ્રિય, અને ઘ્રાણેન્દ્રિય (કાયા, જીભ, નાક) છે જેવા કે કીડા, મંકોડા, જુ, લીખ વગેરે
Chaurinďiyaa – the souls with four senses viz. touch, taste, smell, vision (e.g. Flies, bees, wasps etc) ચઉરિંદિંયા - ચાર ઈંદ્રિયવાળા જીવ જેને સ્પર્શેન્દ્રિય, રસેન્દ્રિય, ઘ્રાણેન્દ્રિય અને ચક્ષુઈન્દ્રિય (કાયા, જીભ, નાક અને આંખ) જેવા કે માખી અને ભમરા વગેરે
Panchinďiyaa – the souls with all five senses viz. touch, taste, smell, vision and hearing (e.g. humans, beasts, heaven dwelling Devas and hell dwelling Devils) પંચિંદિંયા -પાંચ ઈંદ્રિયવાળા જીવ જેને સ્પર્શેન્દ્રિય, રસેન્દ્રિય, ઘ્રાણેન્દ્રિય,ચક્ષુઈન્દ્રિય અને શ્રોતેન્દ્રિય (કાયા, જીભ, નાક, આંખ અને કાન) જેવા કે જલચર, થળચર, ખેચર, તિર્યંચ, મનુષ્ય, દેવતા, નારકી
Abhihayaa – May have attacked while coming અભિહયા - સામા આવતાં હણ્યા હોય
Vaťťiyaa – May have covered by dust, gravel etc. વત્તિયા - ધૂળ આદિથી ઢાંક્યા હોય
Lesiyaa – May have rubbed લેસિયા -મસળ્યાં હોય
Sanghaaiyaa – May have collided with one another સંઘાઈયા - એક બીજા સાથે અથડ્યા હોય
Sanghattiyaa – May have caused pain by touching or turning on one side સંઘટ્ટિયા - સ્પર્શ કરી ખેદ પમાડ્યો હોય, એક પડખું ફેરવી પીડા ઉપજાવી હોય.
Pariyaaviyaa – may have tormented, tortured by completely turning upside down પરિયાવિયા - પરિતાપના આપી હોય, કષ્ટ આપ્યું હોય, સઘળાં પડખાં ફેરવી પીડા ઉપજાવીહોય
Kilamiyaa – may have inflicted pain to them કિલામિયા - કિલામના ઉપજાવી હોય, ગ્લાનિ ઉપજાવી હોય
Uďviyaa – may have frightened, bothered or alarmed them ઉદ્વિયા - ઉપઢ્રવ ત્રાસ ધ્રાસ્કો પમડ્યો હોય
Thhaańaa Othhaańaam – from one place to another ઠાણાઓઠાણં - એક સ્થાનેથી બીજા સ્થાને
Sankaamiyaa – shifted them સંકામિયા - મૂક્યા હોય
Jiviyaao – from life જીવિયાઓ - જીવનથી
Vavaroviyaa – separated them વવરોવિયા - જુદાં કર્યા હોય
Ťassa Michhami Ďukkadam – may my such sins be dissolved તસ્સ મિચ્છામિ દુક્કડં - મારું પાપ મિથ્યા થાવો
I desire to atone from (or free myself from) my sins. I may have pained the living beings, while walking on the road. While coming and going, I may have crushed the living beings, seeds, plants, dew, the ant-hills, the moss (of five colours), the live water, live earth and the webs of spiders. Whoever living beings; or souls with one sense, two senses, three senses, four senses and five senses, I may have crushed, tortured, attacked or covered with dust. I may have rubbed, collided with one another, may have tormented by turning on one side or completely upside down. I may have inflicted pain to them, frightened, bothered or alarmed them. I may have shifted them from one place to another or separated them from life. May my such sins be dissolved.

Whoever living beings; or souls with one sense, two senses, three senses, four senses and five senses, I may have crushed, tortured, attacked or covered with dust. I may have rubbed, collided with one another, may have tormented by turning on one side or completely upside down. I may have inflicted pain to them, frightened, bothered or alarmed them. I may have shifted them from one place to another or separated them from life. May my such sins be dissolved.
